Katharine
IS my real name, and I really do live in Arkansas.
I was
born many years ago in a Missouri farmhouse by the light of a kerosene
lattern attended by a country doctor two years before World War
2 started. My best memories of my early childhood were about "the
War" as it dominated everything.
I
remember listening to the radio and hearing the pall-bearers marching
carrying Franklin Delano Roosevelt's body at his funeral.
I
remember when the first A-bomb was dropped and how afraid the people
were. We moved "to town" during
WW2 and I remember when WW2 ended and all the church bells were ringing
in unison.
I
remember when we got our first TV and how thrilled I was to watch "the
political conventions" as 50 years ago it was big
news and it was thrilling to just watch "democracy
in process". I remember reading the paper announcing
that Thomas Dewey had defeated Harry S. Truman and remember a retraction
the next day. I remember how proud I was of "Ike"
when he took office.
I
remember Roswell as I knew my neighbor's family that lived in Roswell.
Ironically enough the Hutchinson News Hearald PRINTED
the original Roswell release and I remember reading it "in
print". I had a "close encounter"
with a UFO in 1957, including "missing time".
I
remember holding my youngest child when JFK took office and was still
holding him when John Glenn made his first "space flight".
Personally,
I think much of my path as a "psychic reader"
is as a bridge between the generations, socially, politically &
philosophically.
Oh...personal?
I
graduated at 17, got married at 18, had three kids before voting the
first time, started college when the youngest was 6 weeks old (went
two years at night to start out), returned to Civil Service in 1965,
worked "career" type positions for
over 40 years.
Metaphysically,
I started reading cards in 1972, channeling in 1984, teaching in 1987
and started Kasamba July 2003. I have been single for years and years,
live alone with six dogs, make quilts by hand (the old-fashoned) way,
am a professional artist, have had poetry published and spend the least
amount of time possible doing readings.I
hate to cook... that is WHY God invented fast food.
Eleanor
Roosevelt inspired me as a child as I was so thrilled to see her in
the old news reels "flying alone without her husband"
and that inspired me to "seek independence"
and guess I was finally able to do that. Now several of the great-grandkids
are in grade school.
Whenever people ask me for my personal best advice I always say "Do
the best you can do and forget it, that's all you can do."
My
best advice to modify personal behavior is "Whatever
you are willing to put up with is exactly what you will have."
"Learn teach/teach learn" is what I live by.
And for what "I know to be true",
I would have to say that as long as you can laugh at yourself you will
have enough material that you will never cease to be amused.
